UV-C treatment for water passing through the unit; maintain the pool’s required sanitizer residual and chemical balance.

The sun emits invisible light - ultraviolet light. Through leading edge technology, this natural phenomenon is reproduced inside the sanitizers of the Delta UV product range using powerful UV-C ray lamps. At 254 nanometers, the optimum wavelength for sterilizing micro-organisms (viruses, bacteria, algae, yeast, mold, etc.), Delta UV-C rays penetrate and disrupt their DNA, permanently deactivating germ cell metabolism so they cannot reproduce.

UV-C treatment acts on water passing through the chamber and has no residual disinfecting effect elsewhere in the pool. It supplements water treatment and does not guarantee complete purification or replace proper chemical balance and a disinfectant residual.

For Cleaner, Healthier Pool Environment

  • Drastically reduces the costs associated with chemical use
  • Destroy the micro-organisms that chlorine and salt systems can’t (Cryptosporidium, Giardia, etc.)
  • UV treatment supplements the pool’s chemical water-care program
  • Maintain appropriate sanitizer levels and water balance; UV is not a guarantee against irritation
  • Easier pool maintenance, simple, reliable
  • Inspect and clean the quartz sleeve and replace the lamp according to operating hours and the manual for the exact model
  • Prolongs pools life – won’t erode pools surface or equipment
  • Confirm installation, flow, pressure, plumbing and electrical compatibility for the exact model
  • A treatment that can be automated with an existing chlorinator
  • Easy and Quick installation and maintenance

DeltaUV has launched a new ‘Quick Lock’ mechanism for its UV units. The new and improved design allows the UV unit to be opened with a simple turn of the top –without removing multiple screws. The new design allows pool professionals to quickly open UV units to inspect and clean the UV bulb. Perfect for pool opening season. Pool professionals looking to ‘up-sell’ to their clients who want to upgrade pool water sanitation and improve the swimming experience for users should offer Delta UV’s Clean Light Technology

Frequently asked questions

What is the purpose of the Delta UV Residential Pool Sanitizer E46?

It uses UV-C light to treat water passing through its chamber. UV has no residual effect elsewhere in the pool and does not remove salt; maintain the required sanitizer residual and water balance.

How does the Delta UV sanitizer compare to traditional chlorine or salt systems?

UV treats water passing through its chamber and can supplement the pool's sanitizer program. It does not replace a disinfectant residual throughout the pool or guarantee elimination of all microorganisms.

What maintenance is required for the Delta UV E46 model?

Keep the quartz sleeve clean and inspect the lamp and other components as the exact model manual directs. Lamp replacement depends on operating hours and specified service life, not a universal three-year interval. Confirm the correct manual and lamp for this legacy E46 revision.

Can the Delta UV sterilizer be used with my existing pool equipment?

Have the installer verify the exact E46 unit’s flow, pressure, plumbing and electrical requirements against your system. Compatibility with every coating or filter is not guaranteed; maintain the existing sanitation and water-balance program.

Is the Delta UV Residential Pool Sanitizer suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations?

Yes, the Delta UV E46 model is designed for both indoor and outdoor installation, allowing flexibility in its usage based on your specific pool environment.

Poor Quality. I do not believe it does what it claims

I bought the Delta UV Residential Pool Sanitizer Plastic Model E46. I have had this unit for 17 months and have had several parts replaced. The glass had cracks after only 4 months. The bulb went out due to water getting into the dry area. The Plastic nut cracked and the unit leaks because of it. This occurred at 14 months. The first summer using it I got significant algae so I don't think this unit works on algae. Customer service is difficult to get to respond in a timely manner. It took over a month to get a replacement tube and bulb. It has been two weeks and still waiting on the nut replacement. The unit is out of warranty soon so the next time it breaks I will remove it from my system. I wish I would not have purchased.
