The Vac-Alert VA-2000 is a mechanical Safety Vacuum Release System for specified pool and spa suction systems. Select the exact version for the installation: VA-2000L is for the manufacturer’s suction-lift range, while VA-2000S is for submerged/flooded suction applications.

The VA-2000L instructions specify pump suction no more than 24 inches below or 42 inches above the water surface. The VA-2000S is intended for pump suction more than 24 inches below the water surface and is recommended for continuously running commercial submerged-suction systems. Other configurations require manufacturer guidance.

The 0.170-inch orifice and 3.5-pound check-valve spring belong to the L configuration; they are not universal VA-2000 specifications. Confirm the model marking, installation layout, hydraulic settings and required functional testing in the manual. An SVRS does not protect against every form of entrapment or replace compliant suction outlets and other required safeguards.
